All social security and welfare fund pension beneficiaries who were sanctioned a pension before December 31, 2025, must complete the mustering process via an Akshaya Centre between July 17 and September 30, 2026.

Thrikkodithanam is a rapidly growing village panchayat located in the Changanassery Municipality.

Thrikkodithanam, an important village panchayat in Changanassery taluk, was part of Madappally Village Union until 1951, after which the area became part of Payippad Panchayat. The desire of the residents of Thrikkodithanam to form their own panchayat was fulfilled on 22nd August 1968. On that day, as per the notice of Madappally BDO, the members of the Thrikkodithanam Grama Panchayat Administrative Committee were sworn in at Payippad Panchayat. On 3rd September 1976, as per the government order, a new Administrative Committee was nominated on 9th September. Shri P. K. Divakaran was the President of that Committee. On 29th September 1979, an Administrative Committee was formed in Thrikkodithanam Panchayat through a general election. C. K. James was the President and Mrs. Pankajakshan was the Vice President. Shri. Devasya Kaniyamparambil, who participated in the freedom struggle and Vaikom Satyagraha, and the late Shri. Kondoor Krishna Pillai, Sree. Pallipuram Narayana Pillai were social reformers and Sree Aramala Sreekutty was a liberator of the Scheduled Castes. In 1937, Sree Krishna Pillai started the case of vocational education on the call of Mahatmaji. B UPSC B UPS was started. Professor N Gopalan Nair was a historian and Gopinathan Nair, who was the president of the Payippad Panchayat of Trikkodithanam, was a Sambar poet and social reformer. The Amara area, blessed by the karma of Poykayil Sree Kumaragurudevan, the founder of the Pratya Raksha Deiva Sabha, is in the Thrikkodithanam panchayat. The economy of Thrikkodithanam is based on agriculture. Agricultural workers, construction workers, foreign Malayalis, and businessmen are the ones who manage the economic situation of the panchayat. Thrikkodithanam Service Cooperative Bank, State Bank of India, and Union Bank provide loans to the people of the panchayat area. Kudumbashree neighborhood groups and other self-help groups have also played an important role in improving the economic status of the panchayat.

Geography

Thrikkodithanam Grama Panchayat, located in the southwest of Kottayam district, is an agricultural village with a rich cultural heritage. This area with vast paddy fields and water bodies is peaceful, beautiful, and a perfect example of religious brotherhood.

Thrikkodithanam Grama Panchayat has a mixed topography of small hills and slopes. The land slopes from east to west. Chembumpuram, Amara and Aramalakunnu are the highest areas in the panchayat. 90 percent of the total area is land and 10 percent is paddy fields. The Manimalayar flows about 9 km west of the boundary of the gram panchayat. The land areas in Thrikkodithanam Grama Panchayat are located at an elevation of 10 to 20 meters above mean sea level. The western part of the panchayat is located at a distance of about ten meters above sea level and then slopes towards the east. These areas are located at an elevation of 20 meters to 60 meters. The general slope of the panchayat is from east to west. Geographically, Thrikkodithanam grama panchayat is located in the Edanad region and the weather in it is mainly dominated by two seasons namely the southwest monsoon and the northeast monsoon. According to the data of the last 10 years, the maximum rainfall is received in the months of June and August and the minimum rainfall is received in the month of February.
