A special village meeting was organized in Thrikkodithanam Gram Panchayat as part of World Environment Day celebrations.
Under the initiative of Thrikodithanam Gram Panchayat, a special village meeting was organized to raise the message 'Clean and Green Villages' in connection with World Environment Day. The event held at the panchayat hall was attended by public representatives, officials from various departments, Kudumbashree workers, members of the Green Corps, social workers, and the general public.
In the village meeting, topics like environmental protection, waste management, conservation of water sources, planting and nurturing saplings, and local measures to tackle climate change were discussed. The need for ensuring public participation to strengthen cleanliness activities and achieve the goal of a green village was emphasized in the meeting.
During the program, the panchayat president and public representatives spoke in detail about the importance of environmental protection. Suggestions and opinions related to various development and welfare projects were also shared in the village meeting.
The aim was to convey the World Environment Day message to the people and promote environment-friendly practices.
